Hi Boon,

I would like to invite your views on the following questions.

1. What do you forsee our global economic situation will be 1-2 years down the road? How long will the bear market last?
2. What are the type of investments should we (retailers) undertake during the full-blown recession period to generate/preserve wealth? e.g Property, mutual funds in certain sectors, Or we should keep our cash in the bank?

Thanks for your input. Your views will be posted at my blog which serves as my personal journal on investing.

Rgds,
Kris

haha, lucky you Boon has a cheerful temper, so you better check out his previous posts as he mentioned he's using TradeStation Securities.

Personally, I tried to sign up for this TradeStation platform, but I'm a Malaysian too and wondering how to open an oversea account! Anyone here know how to open this trading account as a foreigner?

Hi Anonymous

I dunno about Tradestation but i have some online trading accounts. What you do is just email the company and show interest to open an account. They will probably reply and provide the necessary details. Just walk in to any HSBC and place your deposits to them.....under the account provided. Within days you get the active trading board. I would think that Tradestation works the same in openning an account. HAPPY TRADING.

kris,

-- I am not smart enough to figure out how long the bear market will last; but I believe commodities and precious metals will ourperform 'paper assets.'
