I am not a Pessimist!

Some quick and important points:

  1. I am still on holiday and still can't make any comment on Bursa Malaysia.
  2. The Dow is making new all-time intraday high, but it does NOT change my bear view on the US market. Why? Read my "US Recession?" posts. Also, the new high is not confirmed by the S&P 500 and Russell 2000 futures -- I bet you don't even realise this huh?
  3. I am not a pessimist, but some of my analysts are telling me that the Dow could fall by 1000 points in the coming weeks/months. Do I believe that? Well, I don't know about the scale exactly, but I will be stupid to bet against them. Timing is what I can't be certain.
  4. In my "US Recession?" posts, I mentioned the collapsing US housing market, foreign investment in the US, Private Equity, US unemployment, and subprime contagion. Some of these recessionary pressures are already revealing their ugly heads, except Private Equity and US unemployment. These 2 are the next important factors for you all to watch.
  5. For those who have email me asking how to trail stop, there are a few things you could do: you can make use of some sophisticated system such as NinjaTrader; or you could refer to this document/code by TradeStation, namely Simple Trailing Stop, which describes the ideas of Stop, Profit Floor, and Trailing Amount. Post your questions to this blog directly if you need more help. I am bad at emails.

Hi Boon!

I have been following your site and I am extremely impressed with your advice and your work. I was wondering that perhaps you can share your money making process with the friends you have made all over the world especially with the ones here in your homeland. I am willing to pay some cost sharing fees that you need to run your business and your overhead expenses. After all, I believe that the market is our common enemy and we are all friends. Friends always share the better things in life with each other, ie., good food, good bargains, good books etc. Perhaps you can give your instructions live and we can trade on our own using your principles and discipline and all your tools that you draw upon. Anyway, I thought that I'd give you a shot on this matter.
Thanks.

Hi Boon!

First of all TQ very much for the NT & STS stuff. Like many other who're reading this blog I'm very impressed by the level of your sohistication. I have a few questions to ask and I'll highly appreciate if you can spare your precious time to answer them:

1. How reliable are these systems?

2. What happen if there is a powercut or system crash?

2. Which is your favourite system?

Looking forward to your reply.

Boon,

Yaya.. .you are true.
The DJIA new high not support by S&P and Rusell but anyhow, why it support by Nasdaq. (correct me if I am wrong).

Why use S&P and Rusell as a support factor rather than using the others stock market such as London, China, Hang Seng, Japan?

Dear Any.. .

Market DJIA can simply crash more than 2000 when bearish time.
Dont u think the 1000 are very easily?

when this happened, the trader like boon will happy and dance almost.. .
